It’s true, there were actually 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen in this wedding. Also true, Katie is always as happy as she looks in the photos! Now those two things aside can I please tell you how much fun this wedding was?!? Katie and Michael came in over a year ago to talk about their upcoming wedding. Katie walked into the room and took it over. Michael anchored her with his quiet strength and I just sat there and soaked in all of the goodness that was happening in front of me. It has been nothing short of fun working with these two and the wedding was the epitome of a true celebration.
There are times when a wedding party containing 22 people could be perceived as possibly a little over the top. Not the case for these two. Each of the bridal party was so intimately engaged in the day and Katie and Michael that it just worked. And of course, there is way more fun to be had with 22 of your closest friends following your every step!
Katie and Michael blended tradition and a contemporary style to make their day reflect their lives. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the oh-so-swanky Westin Galleria, but the immediate family gathered at Temple Israel for the ketubah signing prior to the ceremony. It was an intimate moment in the midst of all of the celebration and I love that they made visiting their temple a priority.
Enjoy a few of my favorites. Just watch, you’ll be happier when you’re through the photos… K&M are contagious like that!
A very special thanks to the amazing talent that contributed to this event:
