Jennen & John

I’ll be the first to admit that I am rather pathetic at keeping in touch with old friends. It’s not for lack of affection, life just carries me through time a little too quickly sometimes and I forget to stop and connect with those that mean so much to me. You can imagine my glee when my dear friend Jennen called after way too many years of not connecting. And of course she called with news of an engagement. I was thrilled for her and so very honored when she asked if I’d shoot her wedding… UM, Yeah!

Jennen is a lover… of life and of people. She’s one of those people who’s presence brings happiness and laughter. Of course, I was completely curious as to whether or not this John guy was going to meet her fabulousness and then I met him. For his sake I won’t use the term “fabulous” but rather kind, sincere, strong, and comfortable. They are a match and knowing them, photographing them was a blessing.

I know I’ve done my job when my photos can give a complete stranger an accurate understanding of the people and events being photographed. When looking through Jennen and John’s photos their Joy, Life, Love shows so vividly and I think/hope you can get a sense of what it is that makes them well, them!

I have to say, I’m a sucker for the shoe shot. This wedding was no exception as Jennen had not one pair but three pairs of to die for shoes! I picked my favorite for the blog. Gorgeous, right ladies?

And who needs shoes when you’ve got medals and swords?!? I’ve never been one for that whole “man-in-uniform” thing but I have to say John and his Marine boys may have perminately changed my position on it!

This was a gorgeous wedding with a couple I love. This post deserves a special thanks and much love to those serving in our military. You have my upmost respect and gratitude.

Cheers J&J!
